‘Batman: Arkham VR’ E3 2016 Trailer: Don The Virtual Cowl
Revealed on-stage at the Sony PlayStation E3 press conference, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment have partnered with Rocksteady Studios to create a game that takes Batman to a whole new reality. “Batman: Arkham VR” will utilize virtual reality technology and let you don the cape and cowl and act as Batman.
Developed by the team behind the “Batman: Arkham” trilogy at Rocksteady Studios, “Arkham VR” will give players an all-new mystery to solve — this time in an immersive experience that transports you right into Gotham City. As stated in a press release, players will have to “think like Batman and utilize his legendary gadgets to unravel a plot that threatens the lives of his closest allies.”
“Rocksteady is always looking for new ways to further engross players into the worlds we create and ‘Batman: Arkham VR’ is an example of how we’re taking advantage of the latest technology to do that,” said Sefton Hill, Game Director, Rocksteady Studios, in the press release. “The team is committed to delivering a Batman experience that stays true to the character and allows players to fully immerse themselves in the role of the World’s Greatest Detective.”
The game will be available exclusively for the PlayStation 4 with PlayStation VR this October. You can watch a trailer — one that features a voiceover from Mark Hamill — below.
