‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ Map Leaked Online; Game Will Be A Prequel

RDR

RDR is getting a sequel! Its map has leaked! I’m excited for this, but I’m also shamed. I have not played RDR. Of all the games in the Gaming Classics Pantheon that I regret having not played, RDR is up there. Along with (shh) Link To The Past and Symphony Of The Night.

UPROXX:

Even with GTA V raking in billions in revenue with millions of copies sold, Red Dead Redemption was considered by many to be the best game Rockstar ever made. It’s been six long years since Rockstar’s wild west adventure starring John Marston, and a myriad of rumors have been ramping up in recent months with all signs pointing to the game that probably won’t be titled “Red Dead Redemption 2.” Now an art production map has leaked and been confirmed as real by an anonymous source. This is happening, people. This is really happening (unless it isn’t?!) and the report states RDR 2 is going to be a prequel. As you can see in the blurry map that was originally posted on Neogaf, we’re partially back in the same area we traversed in Red Dead. However, this is a prequel, and as many have pointed out — there is a lack of a railroad that was prominent in RDR. Where RDR was a kind of Texas/New Mexico/Mexico/Missouri, the addition of New Bordeaux, a fictional version of New Orleans that will be featured in Take Two’s Mafia 3, makes it seem like we’ll be traversing the Gulf of Mexico/Houston/New Orleans area.
