‘Mr. Robot’ Season 2 News: Grace Gummer joins the cast
I do not know Grace Gummer. But she has joined the cast of Mr. Robot for the show’s second season. Anyone who is good enough for Sam Esmail and company is good enough for me, though.
Grace Gummer, best known for her turns in The Newsroom and Frances Ha and in her real-life role as Meryl Streep’s daughter, is joining the cast of Mr. Robot as a series regular. According to Variety, Gummer will play an FBI agent named Dominique “Dom” DiPierro, who is assigned to investigate the massive hack that took place at the end of the show’s first season. She’ll be charged with tracking down the members of fsociety, and considering creator Sam Esmail has called the 10-episode second season “really fucking dark,” Agent Dom could be dealing with some crazy shit, man. Meanwhile, Gummer will also be appearing as Nora Ephron on Amazon’s new series Good Girls Revolt, which was picked up to seriesf ollowing Amazon’s pilot preview season, leaving the door wide open for fan-fiction writers to imagine a steamy romance between Gummer’s witty Ephron and Rami Malek’s anxious Elliot Alderson.
