‘High-Rise’ Trailer: A Logic More Powerful Than Reason
This one came out of the fucking woods for me. I caught director Ben Wheatley’s Kill List a couple of years ago with Bateman, and found it enjoyably, enjoyably haunting. So apply his talent to adapting yet another J.G. Ballard book I haven’t read (dystopian no less!), starring Loki, and you got a movie I’m anticipating.
In case you were holding onto any hopes that life in the titular high-rise is as fun and free-wheeling as it seems, they’ll be quickly and violently crushed in this new trailer for the Tom Hiddleston thriller.
Directed by Ben Wheatley (“The ABCs of Death,” “A Field in England”), it’s an adaptation of J.G. Ballard’s 1975 dystopian novel about class warfare within a closed-off community. Hiddleston plays the film’s antihero Dr. Robert Laing, whose cool exterior in the trailers can barely contain a creeping sense of dread.
Arriving in March, “High-Rise” also stars Jeremy Irons, Sienna Miller, Luke Evans and Elisabeth Moss
