It’s 2016! And if I’m not mistaken, this is my first post of the NuYear. I’m just fucking lazy these days, man. Or perhaps I’m just more prone to spending whatever free time I can with my wife, friends, and family. So I took the weekend off! Sue me! But I’m here, now. In the NuYear, with the NuMe!
This is Monday Morning Commute. The weekly column where we all get together and share what we’re up to during a given week. The books we are reading, the movies we are watching, the food we are eating.
Anything&Everything that we are utilizing to get us through the doldrums of the work week.

The Revenant is finally dropping this week, and I’m fucking stoked. I’ve heard it described as “less of a story” and more of an “astral projection” and woah, baby! Woah, baby! Does that ever get my titties leaking their exciteJuice. Does that ever!

I’m pretty much playing Fallout 4 until I die. I’m just running around, making more money than I know what to do with thanks to The Dude’s Purified Water Empire scheme that he shared with me, one-shotting almost everything that gets into my way. Yet!, I still can’t bring myself to engage in the Main Story. I don’t want to leave the Wasteland.

Saw The Hateful Eight last week. Part of the traveling road show or whatever. Beautiful 70mm. Got itself a neat little program. An intermission. I really dug the overall experience, the movie was a fucking trip unto itself. Grateful I let Rendar get me whipped up into braving the cold and an old theater to attend, since I’m a reclusive douchebag.

It’s my birthday on Tuesday. Truthfully, I’m just feeling old and fat.

I’m getting a PC gaming rig up and running soon. Like, as soon as Bateman compiles the various computer parts I got for the holidays into a functioning machine. One of the first things I want to do when the bad boy is Operational is to play through SOMA by Frictional Games. Supposed to be a horror game like woah. Anyone here play it?

Speaking of movies, Sam and I also caught The Big Short last week. Solid, solid movie. Great performances. Adam McKay putting together a movie particularly not like his usual affair. I was certainly impressed.

Been listening to Chance the Rapper. And Animals As Leaders. And Mestis. What have you been bumping?

Oh. And I’ve had the Mega Man X soundtrack stuck in my head. For days. I’m just not good at that game, friends. I’ve abdicated alternating lives with Bateman, and settled into reading him the Upgrade Locations from a guide, and cheering him on. Game is beautiful. Also, brutal.

Ordered Isaac Asimov’s Foundation Trilogy. Goal of mine is to read *at least* the first installment during the remainder of my break. Real Life Confession: I’ve never read any Asimov. I suck.
