Xbox One’s Backwards Compatibility will support 360’s DLC, too.

Good news, XBOTS. Not only are you (we?, I mean, I own the system) getting backwards compatibility on the XB1. But it turns out that all the DLC you bought for those games you’re going to rocking backwards-ly is also going to function. Fuck. C’mon, Sony.

Gamespot:

The Xbox One backwards compatibility feature coming this fall will span not just Xbox 360 games, but also downloadable content if publishers allow it. Now, Microsoft’s top Xbox boss, Phil Spencer, has spoken out to say the company is currently formulating a “clear description” for how DLC will be handled.

While we wait for official details, Spencer assures that Xbox 360 DLC should work “as expected.” He dropped the quote in a recent Twitter exchange, which you can see below.

Microsoft announced Xbox One backwards compatibility with Xbox 360 games at its E3 2015 press conference back in June. Last week at Gamescom, the company announced that the feature, currently limited to Xbox One Preview Program members, will be available to everyone in November.

There will be “hundreds” of supported Xbox 360 titles available on Xbox One through backwards compatibility when it rolls out. The full list has not been announced, but you can see all the games confirmed so far here.
