While seemingly everyone is waiting for “Avengers: Age Of Ultron” —possibly some don’t care about that movie and  plan to go to the theater only to see the new “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” trailer that will evidently be shown beforehand— there are a few new tidbits today about what else is coming in the Star Wars‘ universe.

First, it has been officially confirmed that “Star Wars: Episode VIII” will be written and directed by Rian Johnson and will be released on May 26, 2017 —forty years and one day after “Star Wars: Episode IV — A New Hope.” Meanwhile the Felicity Jones-starring spinoff slated to be directed byGareth Edwards has been titled “Star Wars: Rogue One.” Production starts this summer and the film will hit cinemas on December 16, 2016. No official word on plot details, but the film is widely speculated to be about a group of bounty hunters who steal the plans for the Death Star.

Starting in December, we will be getting three Star Wars flicks in a year-and-a-half. Life is good.
