Rumor: Warner Bros. considering Chris Pine for Green Lantern
If this rumor holds true, Captain Kirk is going to gain himself another space-faring role.
Warner Bros. may be close to casting its Green Lantern, should a hot rumor currently in circulation prove to be true. Umberto Gonzalez of Latino Review has reported via Instagram that Chris Pine (“Star Trek”) is possibly being considered for the role of Hal Jordan in Warner Bros.’ upcoming “Justice League” and “Green Lantern” films. Gonzalez made it clear that these are just rumors at this point and included the word “if” many times in the Instagram caption. CBR has reached out to Warner Bros. for comment.
Green Lantern remains the only member of the Justice League that has yet to be cast. Henry Cavill will return as Superman when the first “Justice League” film hits in 2017. 2016’s “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” will also introduce a quartet of Justice League characters: Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman and Ray Fisheras Cyborg. Ezra Miller has signed on to play the Flash, most likely making his debut in 2017’s “Justice League” film before starring in his own solo film in 2018.
The next “Green Lantern” film is currently scheduled to open in 2020.
I don’t really give a fuck about Green Lantern, or the DCU. So like, I’m pretty apathetic towards this. I don’t hate it, and I like Pine as Kirk, but he hasn’t done anything for me in any other role. So, shrug? How do you feel
