Amazon has placed an order for a full series adaptation of Philip K. Dick’s novel The Man In the High Castle. Last month the pilot was released, and we really liked what we saw. So this is good news! Let’s celebrate by watching the creepy titles once again!
In a press release Amazon announced that, “it has greenlit five new Amazon Original Series, including The Man in the High Castle, which is based on the Philip K. Dick alternative history novel; an hour-long dark comedy Mad Dogs; docu-series The New Yorker Presents; along with kids shows Just Add Magic, and The Stinky & Dirty Show.” Not sure what that means for when it’s coming — I’m sure Amazon has a different development program than the networks — but either way we’re happy. For those of you unaware, The Man In the High Castle takes place in an alternate universe (in the past) in which Germany and Japan won World War I, and now occupy the Western Hemisphere.
Maybe I should give it another shot. If enough people liked it, there’s a good chance I was just a grumpy pants at the time or something. Or maybe it sucks. IDFK.
