Luke Mitchell playing an Inhuman on ‘Agents of S.H.I.EL.D.’
I don’t know Luke Mitchell! I haven’t been watching Agents of SHIELD! But I’m really intrigued at how hard the show is going at the Inhumans game.
At the end of the last episode of ABC’s Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., some crazy stuff involving a hidden city, cocoons, and superpowered transformations happened. To comic book nerds—and people who pay attention to Marvel’s longterm movie plans—it seemed pretty obvious that this has all been pointing toward a complicated subset of Marvel heroes known as the Inhumans. For those who don’t follow the comics, the Inhumans are a lot like the X-Men, except they have a king named Black Bolt, and they were genetically engineered by an alien race called the Kree and…you know what? Never mind. Don’t worry about it.
Anyway, the existence of the Inhumans on Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. is officially official now thanks to the character description for the show’s latest hire. According toDeadline, The Tomorrow People‘s Luke Mitchell will be playing a guy named Lincoln who is a “charismatic Inhuman.” Not a “charismatic stranger,” or “charismatic guy with superpowers.” A “charismatic Inhuman.” The only thing we know beyond that is that he’ll have “an important role to play” in Chloe Bennet’s character learning how to use her own newfound Inhuman abilities. We don’t know when this guy will be showing up, but S.H.I.E.L.D. returns to ABC on March 3.
Do you know him? Worth his weight in Terrigen Mist?! MIST DON’T HAVE WEIGHT? EH? FUCK YOU, BILL NYE.
