‘Final Fantasy VII’ coming to PS4! But! It ain’t a f**king remake
Squaresoft-Enix-Eidos-Whateverthefuck straight trollin’ us now. The Company That Doesn’t Matter Anymore announced today that they’re bringing Final Fantasy VII to PS4. But it ain’t the remake we’ve been clamoring for over the past fifteen years. Just an upscale whateverashit port. Same one that has already dropped on Steam.
An upscaled version of Final Fantasy 7 is coming to the PlayStation 4 in spring of 2015, Square Enix announced as part of the PlayStation Experience keynote. While this is good news for Final Fantasy and PlayStation fans, it’s not the oft-rumored, infamous full remake of FF7 that many have clamored for. Instead, it is the currently-available PC version, ported to the PS4.
And yes, I’m still going to buy it.
