Jenny Slate guest starring on ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’
Random TV coverage? Ain’t nothing random around these parts, fool. It’s the patterns you don’t see! The patterns you don’t see! Why am I covering Jenny Slate+Brooklyn Nine-Nine? ‘Cause Slate’s Obvious Child is one of my favorite movies of the summer, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine rules.
Comedian Jenny Slate will guest star on Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s season two premiere, according to Entertainment Weekly. Season one’s finale episode ended with the show’s Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) headed for an undercover stint in the FBI, and it’s in this setting, apparently, that Jake meets Bianca, a tough-talking, street-savvy mobster played by Slate, who obviously made an impression on Brooklyn producer Michael Schur with her stint as Jean-Ralphio’s awful sister on Parks And Recreation.
As previously reported, season two will also feature Kyra Sedgwick in two episodes playing a deputy chief and longtime rival of Capt. Holt who’s intent on bringing down the 99th precinct. The new season premieres Sept. 28 on Fox.
