FOX’S ‘GOTHAM’ TV show looking to cast YOUNG BRUCE WAYNE
How do you do a television show about Gotham’s up and coming police commissioner guy without Batman? I mean I imagine it is certainly doable, but will people care? Fox doesn’t seem to be willing to roll the dice on that prospect. ‘Cause they’re already looking to cast a young, pants-pissing Master Bruce.
Back in September we learned of Fox’s plans to make Gotham, a Batman-less TV show that would serve as an origin story both for Commissioner Gordon and “the villains who made Gotham City famous.” The whole thing caused Susana to be a bit bzuh?, because so many of Batman’s villains just plain don’t work without Batman also in the picture. But the show’s still chug-chug-chugging along, and today we’ve learned that while there won’t be Batman, there might be Bruce Wayne, albeit an itty-bitty one.
Via a casting notice on Television Show Auditions:
“A 10-year-old Bruce Wayne is among the roles that are now being cast as series regulars on the upcoming Fox TV series “Gotham” which explores the origin stories of Commissioner James Gordon and the villains that made Gotham City famous. Under development for over a year, the project has now been given a direct-to-series order by the network, which won an intense bidding war for the Warner Bros. Television rights to the show. Shooting on the pilot episode will get underway in March, 2014 and will center on Gotham City PD rookie homicide detective James Gordon who investigates the double murder of Thomas and Martha Wayne.”
You folks excited for this show? More excited now that Bruce Wayne is probably going to be in it?
