Sony may have accidentally revealed ‘GRAND THEFT AUTO V’ on the PS4. DUN GOOFED!
Sony done fucked up. That’s all I’m saying. No way can you convince me those dildo-heads over at the PlayStation Palace didn’t accidentally reveal Grand Theft Auto V for the PS4.
UPDATE: Sony has claimed that its reference to GTA 5 on PS4 was a mistake and apologised for the “typo”.
In a tweet posted on its official Twitter account following this evening’s blunder, Sony UK said: “Apologies for the typo about GTA V. It’s due for release on PS3 on September 17th.”
But if Sony’s tweet really was a typo, why did it also retweet somebody else’s tweet referencing GTA 5 on PS4…?
ORIGINAL STORY: When it comes to leaking details on GTA 5, it hasn’t been a particularly good week for Sony – and the platform holder may have just let slip on an unannounced PlayStation 4 version of Rockstar’s upcoming crime game.
Replying to a fan from the platform holder’s UK Twitter account this evening, Sony UK said that “GTA V is going to be amazing, especially on the PS4!”
The account also retweeted a tweet from the same fan, which said: “GTA5 ON A #PS4 now that we be gaming at the best – while i am singing I “GET LUCKY” THE DAFT PUNK IN ME IS THINKING.”
Though Rockstar has yet to announce a next-gen version of GTA 5, a PS4 and Xbox One version has often been rumoured.
Earlier this month, Rockstar’s Leslie Benzies suggested that a next-gen version hadn’t been ruled out, saying that the team will “get the current gen version out first and see what happens in the future”.
Yeah, okay. Some intern totally hasn’t been black-bagged and dragged to some dungeon where Kaz is stabbing him with hot pokers.
