CBR:
While “Iron Man 3” hits in about one month on May 3, it’s only the first salvo for Marvel Studios’ Phase Two of its Cinematic Universe. Later this year, the studio will release “Thor: The Dark World” with 2014 bringing two more films to add to the studio’s ever-expanding united franchise films. While there’s been information abound on this year’s Marvel films, Marvel has been playing it close to the chest for 2014’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” and “Guardians of the Galaxy” — but the wait may be at an end. GeekZenith.com has gotten its hands on some concept art for both Joe and Anthony Russo’s “Captain America” sequel and James Gunn’s “Guardians of the Galaxy,” featuring Cap and the Winter Soldier locked in combat, a first look at a Guardians planning session and more.
(From L to R) One “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” piece of concept art and three from “Guardians of the Galaxy.”
However, the Phase Two news doesn’t stop there — ScreenDaily reports that Joss Whedon’s “The Avengers 2” is set to begin shooting at Pinewood-Shepperton studios in early 2014 with production slated to start later this year. This will be Marvel’s third film shot on the UK studios, as its recently wrapped shooting on “Thor: The Dark World” with “Guardians of the Galaxy” set to begin shooting this summer.
