Dean Norris: Final ‘BREAKING BAD’ episodes are “Hank-centric.” Yeah, buddy.

The man who plays Hank Schrader on Breaking Bad has greased up his fingies, and decided to milk our nerd glands. The good sir has dropped a couple of comments regarding the (best) show. If you haven’t seen the first half of season five, don’t be read anything after the jump. Instead, get your life in order and start watching this fucking show.

Fondly, G.B.” — and with that inscription inside the pages of Walt Whitman‘s “Leaves Of Grass” sitting on the toilet of Walter White’s home at the end of the eighth episode of season five, the minds of “Breaking Bad” fans around the world collectively freaked out. Discovered by by the indefatigable DEA agent Hank Schrader, played by the underrated Dean Norris, this next bit of news is probably no surprise: the final eight episodes are gonna feature a whole lot more of him.

Talking with the National Post (via Vulture), the actor told the paper that final batch of episodes will be “Hank-centric,” which isn’t too bad at all considering Norris initially asked to be killed off. Really. “I called [series creator] Vince [Gilligan] and I said, ‘Hey man, maybe Hank should die in the first eight. Wouldn’t that be a great ending?’ ” he said. So why did he want off? Well, he had a pilot for a new show brewing that he didn’t want to pass up.

“When they [AMC] originally picked up the 16 [episodes] I thought, ‘Great, I can do a pilot, do the 16 and then be free to do a show.’ ” Norris said. “And then at some point f–king whoever decided they were going to split it into two eights so it cut me off from doing a pilot — and I had a pilot I wanted to do.”
