J.J. Abrams Is The “GUARDIAN” of ‘STAR TREK’; I’ll Take It.

Good news, folks. It appears that so long as  J.J. Abrams is churning out Star Trek  moving pictures, the universe shall be devoid of Bryan Singer. Sign me up for this being a fantastic thing.

io9:

Don’t count on a new  Star Trek  show coming to your screen any time soon.  Pushing Daisies  creator Bryan Fuller  has talked to  X-Men  director Bryan Singer  about pitching one – but as long as the J.J. Abrams movies are coming out regularly, it probably won’t happen.

That’s what Fuller  tells Entertainment Weekly, adding that if one did happen, it would have to be after the next movie, and Abrams would have to be in charge:

Bryan and I are big fans of  Trek  and have discussed a take on what we would do, and we would love to do it. I don’t think anything is going to happen in any official capacity until after the next movie comes out. And I’m sure it would be wisely under J.J. Abrams’ purview of what happens. He’s the guardian of  Trek  right now.

Abrams! Keep making the movies. Forever! I’ll take Lens Flare into eternity when presented with this alternative.
