‘CAPTAIN AMERICA’ Sequel Announced For April 2014.
Provided that the world doesn’t end in December (it’s going to, fuck science and fuck you too), Marvel is going to continue churning out installments of the comic-book-movie-industrial-complex. Hope you’re not sick of the flicks, cause they’re lined up for years, and years, and years. The latest joint to get an official sequel release date is Captain America: Fucking Silly Poses.
Play List:
With Marvel now moving in earnest to find a director for the expected sequel to “Captain America: The First Avenger” they have gone ahead and announced a release date — April 4, 2014.
Yep, it’s a bit of way off but fans will no doubt be excited that the superhero is headed back to the big screen. As we heard a few days ago, a number of directors are being eyed to take over from Joe Johnston, and staying true to their tightfisted approach, it’s a batch of inexpensive folks including George Nolfi (“The Adjustment Bureau”), F. Gary Gray (“Friday,” “The Italian Job”) and Joe and Anthony Russo(“Welcome To Collinwood,” “You, Me & Dupree”).
While is there is no official plot, it’s interesting to note that the studio logline reveals that “Steve Rogers continues his affiliation with Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D and struggles to embrace his role in the modern world.” So while Neal McDonough said earlier this year that Marvel wanted to shoot ‘Cap 2’ at the end of this year, this date gives them some breathing room, and we presume a spring 2013 start is probably more realistic (and will give them time to coodrinate schedules for the handful of Avengers that we presume will inevitably cameo).
