‘Alan Wake’ For The PC Recoups Dev and Marketing Costs In Two Days. Hell Yeah.
I love me some Alan Wake, and I’m terribly stoked that new content is dropping tomorrow on Xbox Live in the form of Alan Wake: American Nightmare. However, what I really, really, really fucking want is a proper sequel. I don’t know if we’ll get one, but Wake’s reception on the PC could be helping my cause.
Joystiq:
Alan Wake for PC took the road less traveled to launch, but all those yellow bricks are made of gold from here on out. Developer Remedy, which was also the publisher of the PC version, revealed the game recouped its development and marketing expenses during “the first 48 hours” after launch on February 16.
“We are very happy with the sales and hitting #1 on Steam at launch was nothing short of amazing,” Remedy’s Aki Järvilehto noted on the game’s forum.
Hell yeah! I’m almost tempted to buy the son of a gun again. Solidarity. All that jazz.
