Has Joss Whedon Made A Shakespeare Movie? Fillion Says Yes.
Joss Whedon may or may not have made a movie based off of Shakespeare. Whether or not he has depends on what you choose to believe. Which I suppose sounds a lot like most things in life.
io9:
Nathan Fillion just tweeted a link toMuchAdotheMovie.com, which announces the conclusion of principal photography on Joss Whedon’s Much Ado About Nothing, an adaptation of the Shakespeare play. Is this a prank? A short film? Or did Whedon really find time to film another movie in the midst of working on The Avengers? The cast list includes Whedon stalwarts like Amy Acker, Fran Krantz, Tom Lenk and Sean Maher, plus Fillion himself. Is this going to be a trippy, surreal and possibly other-worldly take on Much Ado? The single image certainly gives us hope.
I’d be down for this. By the time this is posted (I’m queuing it up late night for tomorrow) I’m sure there will be more details, thereby making me look old as fuck. But play along. What say you? Whedon doing Shakespeare? I think it’s a match made in witty repartee heaven.
