‘Captain America’ Writer Wants Peter Dinklage To Play MODOK In Sequel. Tyriontastic.
Peter Dinklage’s performance as Tyrion in ‘Game of Thrones’ is often times the highlight of the show for me, amid a collection of excellent performances and great scenes. So I love the idea of him playing MODOK in the Captain America sequel. I also love the concept of MODOK being in the movie.
Daily Blam:
Captain America screenwriter Christopher Markus has previously stated that the upcoming sequel for the popular 2011 summer comic book film could include any number of fan-favorite characters from S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Sharon Carter to the winged hero the Falcon. Now, in an interview with LA Times Hero Complex, Markus has thrown out another character choice as well as an actor he’d like to see in the role:
“I love MODOK [Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing] and I think you could make a terrifying movie with MODOK but nobody seems to be on my side at the momentum… I will win you over to Peter Dinklage as MODOK. If he came around the corner and you saw him floating there you would be terrified. It would be amazing.
“In [First Avenger], the great thing is [the visual effects and makeup team] really pulled off the Red Skull. It doesn’t look like a mask. it looks like it’s fully integrated into his flesh.
I love the actor, I love the concept. Let’s get it done. Please? Thoughts?
