Christina Hendricks As Wonder Woman? Jesus. Lord. Yes. Priapism.

If there’s a good lord in Heaven, he’ll make this rumor into concrete. Christina Hendricks as Wonder Woman? That’s what Danish filmmaker  Nicolas Winding Refn has been saying, should he get to make a flick based on the comics.

The latest attempt to revive  Wonder Woman failed just a few weeks ago, but talk of Christina Hendricks taking up the Golden Lasso has already revived our hopes. When asked about the role in December, Hendricks said:

I heard that rumour too -— I don’t know where it got started but I love it! ‘I’ve been wanting to wear that outfit my whole life! I’d love to [do it]. That would be such fun! Let’s put it out there!

Danish filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn has been talking about doing a film version, and recently declared, “If I ever get to do it, she’s going to be it.” Of course, that doesn’t necessarily mean he has her in mind for the lead, but that won’t stop us from trying to picture Joan fighting crime.

So it’s essentially a rumor. But let us dream. And imagine. Curves and glory everywhere.
