‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ Red Band Trailer Hits Net, Rules.

The red-band trailer for the Fincher adaptation of ‘The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo’ has hit the internet thanks to intrepid souls with camera phones and the such. And let us praise those souls, for it’s fucking awesome.

I haven’t read The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, though I did see the original movie. I wasn’t impressed. It felt too much like a series of vignettes adapted from a novel, and I don’t know if I would have enjoyed it  more or less had I had the novel as a foundation. When I heard that Fincher (one of my favorites) was remaking the movie, I got pretty fucking excited. I wasn’t attached to the novel, I didn’t enjoy the original, and the United Statesization was being done by a favorite director of mine.

Fuck yeah!

The trailer itself is a gorgeous work. The Reznor/Karen O remix of the Immigrant Song juxtaposed with the thumping cinematic beats is fucking dope as fuck. I’ll admit that a good trailer means essentially nothing, but my tip is definitely getting a bit drippy for the flick.
