Nestor Carbonell Returning For ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, Alpert Lives!

It appears that  Nestor Carbonell is returning to Gotham in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, reprising his role as the Mayor.

Briefly: Looks like Nestor Carbonell will be back in Gotham City as mayor – the actor is in talks to join the cast of The Dark Knight Rises. He’s one more small piece of the puzzle that Christopher Nolan is starting to assemble, and joins other returning cast members Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and Morgan Freeman. Variety also reports that Diego Klattenhoff and Burn Gorman are likely additions to the supporting cast.

Fuck yeah! I hadn’t even thought of Carbonell or whether or not he’d return. I like me some Carbonell, and ever since Alpert went off into the sunset in LOST, I’ve been needing my fill of his gorgeous eyeliner-non-eyeliner-eyes.
